ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Becky Green is the Assistant Executive Director at Mentoring Positives, a role that reflects her lifelong dedication to empowering youth. Alongside her husband, she co-founded Mentoring Positives fueled by her unwavering belief that every young person deserves a positive adult role model to thrive.

With over 30 years of experience in the juvenile justice and social work sectors, Becky’s journey has been diverse and impactful. From her early days as a residential treatment worker to her roles as a juvenile probation officer and a case manager for children with mental illness, she has cultivated a deep understanding of the challenges facing youth and their families.

Becky’s personal experiences, including being a licensed treatment foster home parent and a mother of two, have uniquely shaped her approach at Mentoring Positives. She champions the idea that every interaction with a young person is an opportunity to build trust and foster meaningful connections.

At Mentoring Positives, Becky emphasizes that their work isn’t just about what they do but who they are. She believes in celebrating small victories and sees each day as an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of youth. Her vision extends beyond the organization itself, viewing their successes as a reflection of the entire community’s commitment to nurturing future leaders.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Becky finds joy in reading, spending time with loved ones, and supporting her family’s basketball pursuits. Yet, her true passion lies in advocating for youth and ensuring they feel seen, heard, and loved.

Becky envisions her legacy as one that recognizes the inherent potential within every young person and the profound impact of investing in their futures. Through her dedication, she hopes to inspire others to join the mission of empowering youth and building a brighter future for generations to come.
